My daughter has the flu (she’s feeling much better now), so we’re home together today. To my great joy, she’s starting to really enjoy racing games, and we’ve been having a lot of fun working our way through Horizon Chase Turbo. It’s difficult enough to present a challenge for me, but easy enough that she can do well, too, and it’s fun  to be able to work through the career mode together.

It is nice, I used to play it a year or so ago.

I you want something more challenging on PC, look at this: https://supersystems.itch.io/driftstagealpha

Its fairly old now, but it is amazing.

Yup. Its still the same preview as well. They never released it :(

It is bloody amazing tho, completely arcady but quite difficult to get it right.

The gameplay sounds very similar.

Horizon Chase Turbo is almost seizure-inducing at times - ha!

Its actually quite a lot different than Horizon Chase. Much more technical.

Makes sense, since the word “drift” is included.

The challenge in HCT is not really the driving , it’s getting around the other cars cleanly (classic arcade style).

Hopefully I can get her so good at this game (and stuff like MarioKart) that she wants to play something more challenging like Gran Turismo with me.

My son’s a couple years older, and when I’ve played with him in the past (been a while) , I’ve given him a decent, easy to drive car, and play with a Honda Fit or a 2CV myself. =)
